Chap. 669.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2 of an act approved March ~
1, 1892, in relation to public roads of Amherst county.
Approved March 5, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sec-
tion two of chapter five hundred and sixty-six be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 2. The said board of supervisors is empowered and authorized
to levy (when it makes its annual levy) a road tax, not to exceed
twenty cents on the one hundred dollars’ worth of property, to be
collected by the county treasurer; but the tax so levied and col-
lected in each district shall be used and applied in that respective
district by said road board, except that of the Richmond and Dan-
ville railroad, which shall be divided equally between the four dis-
tricts.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
