Chap. 626.—An ACT to authorize and empower the school trustees of Russell
county to sell and convey school property.

Approved March 5, 1894.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
several district boards of school trustees for Russell county be, and
they are hereby, authorized and empowered to sell any school-house
and lot which has ceased to be used as school property, but in no
case shall they sell any property under the power herein granted
until other suitable school-houses have been erected. When an
sale is made, the proceeds of same shall be applied to the building
or repairing any school-house in said district where the same ova
sold; and the clerk of board of trustees is empowered and directed
to convey by deed, with covenants of special warranty, any propert
sold under this act, and said conveyance shall pass to the purchaser
all the title vested in the board of trustees to said purchaser, _
