Chap. 607.—An ACT for the relief of the estate of I. P. Graham, late treasurer
of Lee county.
Approved March 8, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts, upon production of satisfactory evidence
that the school warrant for the year eighteen hundred and ninety-
one, for Lee county, Virginia, was lost by the late I. P. Graham,
treasurer of Lee county, and that the amount of said warrant was
paid in full by said Graham upon orders of the proper school
authorities, be, and he is, authorized and instructed in the settlement
of the accounts of the said Graham, as treasurerof Lee county, to
give credit for the same: provided the auditor shall take from the
personal representative of said Graham, or some other person, a
bond of indemnity in the penalty of ten thousand dollars, condi-
male to save the commonwealth from loss by reason of giving said
credit.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
