Chap. 600.—An ACT to amend an act entitled an act to incorporate the Bedford
and James River railroad company, approved March 1, 1892.
Approved March 38, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an act
entitled an act to amend an act entitled an act to incorporate the
Bedford and James River railroad company, approved March first,
eighteen hundred and ninety-two, be amended and re-enacted so as
to read as follows:
§ 1. Beitenacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
thirteen of the act entitled an act to incorporate the Bedford and
James River railroad company, approved February sixth, eighteen
hundred and ninety, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
lows:
§ 13. The said company shall be required to commence the con-
struction of said road within two years from the first day of March,
eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and complete the same within five
years thereafter; and the common council of Bedford City and the
county court of Bedford shall have the right to order an election for
subscription to the capital stock of said company within the period
of two years allowed by this act, in the same manner and upon the
same terms as are required by its charter.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
