Chap. 592.—An ACT for the protection of partridges, pheasants and turkeys in
Wythe county.
Approved March 8, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful for any person to kill, capture or offer for sale or buy
any partridges or quail in Wythe county at any time prior to the
first day of November, eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, or to de-
stroy the nests of the same, or to kill, capture, offer for sale or buy
any partridges after the above-named dated in said county, between
the first day of January and the first day of November, or to destroy
the nests thereof.
2. It shall be unlawful to kill, capture or offer for sale, or buy any
pheasants (ruffled grouse) between the first day of February and the
first day of September, or to kill, capture, offer for sale or buy any
wild turkeys between the fifteenth day of January and the fifteenth
day of October, or to destroy the eggs of the same at any time.
3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this act shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be fined not less than
five nor more than ten dollars for each offence, and in default of
payment of same shall be imprisoned not exceeding thirty days.

pealed.
5. This act shall be in force from its passage.
