Chap. 445.—An ACT to fix the compensation of the members of the board of
supervisors of Henrico county.
Approved February 27, 1894.
Whereas the board of supervisors of Henrico county, in addition
to their work as the general managers of the county in auditing the
accounts of the county, fixing county levy and other duties imposed
upon them by law, have the management, under a special road law
for said county, the care, supervision and control of said roads in
said county, necessitating arduous and long-continued work outside
of what is done during the session of euch board; and whereas the
business of said county is increasing each year to a much larger
and greater extent; and whereas said board should have an in-
creased compensation for said work as members of such board and
for work on said roads: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That each
member of the board of supervisors shall be allowed and paid out
of the county levy a compensation for their services and expenses
in attending the meetings of the board and their duties for the su-
pervision of and control of the county roads of said county at a
salary of two hundred dollars each per annum.
2. Section eight hundred and forty-eight of the code of Virginia
8hall not apply to the county of Henrico; but the provision of the
same shall, from the passage of this act, be inoperative so far as the
county of Henrico is concerned.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
