Chap. 355.—An ACT to authorize the trustees of Mount Moriah Methodist
Episcopal church, south, in Albemarle county, to hold and sell land for cem-
etery purposes.
Approved February 23, 18%.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
trustees of the Methodist Episcopal church, south, known as Mount
Moriah, at White Hall, in Albemarle county, now or hereafter ap-
pointed, be, and they hereby are, authorized and empowered to set
apart and lay off a portion of the land held by them adjacent to said
church, not exceeding one acre, to be used and sold out by them as
a cemetery in burial lots.
2. Said land so set apart and Jaid off may be held, used and sold
and disposed of by said trustees in all respects as if they were duly
constituted trustees of a cemetery in White Hall magisterial district,
in said county, pursuant to sections fourteen hundred and ten, four-
teen hundred and eleven and fourteen hundred and twelve of the
code of Virginia of eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, and they
may sell and dispose of burial lots as aforesaid at such price and on
such times as they may deem best.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
