Chap. 343. —An ACT relating to unlawful hunting, &c., of partridges, deer and
wild turkeys in the counties gf Prince George and Surry.
Approved February 23, 1804.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful for any person to kill, capture, offer for sale or buy any
partridges in the counties of Prince George and Surry between the
first day of February and the first day of November, or at any time
to take or destroy the eggs of partridges; and that it shall be unlaw-
ful for any person to kill, capture, offer for sale or buy any deer in
said counties, or chase any deer in said counties with dogs with in-
tent to kill the same between the fifteenth day of January and the
first day of September; and that it shall be unlawful for any person
to kill, capture, offer for sale or buy any wild turkeys in said counties
between the fifteenth day of February and the first day of October,
or at any time to take or destroy the eggs of wild turkeys in said
counties. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be
punished in the manner prescribed by section two thousand and
eighty of the code of Virginia, under the general laws relating to
unlawful hunting.
2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act are hereby
repealed.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
