Chap. 30.—An ACT to repeal the charter of the town of Potomac, in Prince
William county.
Approved January 15, 1594,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an act
to incorporate the town of Potomac, in Prince William, in force
January twenty-first, eighteen hundred and seventy-three, as amended
by an act approved April ninth, eighteen hundred and seventy-four,
and as amended by an act approved March eighth, eighteen hundred
and eighty, and as amended by an act approved February ninth,
eighteen hundred and eighty-two, be, and the same is hereby, re-
pealed.
2. That all powers, rights, privileges and franchises of said town
of Potomac as a corporation shall cease, and the territory now com-
prehended within the boundaries of the said town or corporation of
Potomac shall become a part of Dumfries magisterial district, and
entitled to every privilege, right and franchise as to roads and schools,
and all other subjects as are now or may hereafter be enjoyed by
said Dumfries magisterial district.
3. All records and papers belonging to said town or corporation of
Potomac shall be filed for preservation and inspection in the clerk’s
office of Prince William county at the town of Manassas.
4. This act shall be 1n force from its passage.
