Chap. 252.—An ACT to authorize the deputies of A. J. Farish, late treasurer of
Albemarle county, to collect by distress unpaid tax-tickets in their hands,
and extending for one year the time for making such collections.
Approved February 15, 1894.
Whereas A. J. Farish, late treasurerof Albemarle county, departed
this life leaving in the hands of his deputies sundry uncollected tax
tickets which had not been returned delinquent: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That th
deputies of said Farish, as such treasurer, who were his duly qualifie
deputies at the timeof the expiration of his term of officeinthe yea
eighteen hundred and ninety-one, be, and they are hereby, authorize
and empowered to collect by levy and distress, in the mode pre
scribed by law, all tax-tickets remaining uncollected in the hands o
said deputies, or any of them; and the time is hereby extended fo
one year from the date of the passage of this act within which t
make any such levy or distress for all such tax-tickets now remainin;
unpaid in the hands of said deputies, or any of them.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
