Chap. 22.—An ACT to prohibit the taking of fishin the waters of, Reed creek
and its tributaries in Wythe county by means of seines, nets, &c.
Approved January 8, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful to take, kill, or capture fish in any of the waters of
Reed creek and its tributaries in Wythe county, except private
ponds, by means of seines, nets, traps, fish-baskets, grab-hooks or
spears, or in any other manner except by angling with a hook and
line. This act shall not apply to the capture of minnows, by means
of a minnow net, when the minnows are to be used as bait. Any
one violating the provisions of this act shall be fined not less than
ten nor more than twenty dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
