Chap. 190.—An ACT for the relief of Joseph D. Mitchell from a fine of th
county court of Grayson county.
Approved February 9, 1894.
Whereas Joseph D. Mitchell was fined the sum of one thousanc
dollars in the county court of Grayson county, Virginia, at the Au
guat term, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, thereof; and wherea:
the said Joseph D. Mitchell has applied to the circuit court of saic
county for relief from said fine, and has, pursuant to sections sever
hundred and thirty-eight, seven hundred and thirty-nine, seven hun
dred and forty-one, seven hundred and forty-two and seven hun
dred and forty-three of the code of Virginia, caused to be presentec
to the general assembly the petition, answer, certificate of fact:
and opinion of the court in his said application, duly authenti
cated by the clerk of said circuit court; and whereas the said cir
cuit court, in the opinion aforesaid, has recommended a releas
of the said fine or other proper relief in the premises: now there
ore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That th
raid Joseph D. Mitchell be, and he is hereby, released and dis
charged from the said fine of one thousand dollars imposed ot
him, as aforesaid, by the county court of Grayson county at th
August term, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, of said court.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
