Chap. 1.—An ACT extending the time for the collection of taxes for the year
1893 in Caroline County.

Whereas the office of treasurer of Caroline county has been vacant
since the day of October, eighteen hundred and ninety-three, and
In consequence whereof no opportunity has been given to the tax-
pavers of said county to avail themselves of the relief of the five per
centum provided for in section six hundred and three of the Code of
Virvinia, in favor of those who pay their taxes before the first day
of December, and this through no fault of their own:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
treasurer of Caroline county shall not add to the taxes due by the
tax-payers of said county, for the year eighteen hundred and ninety-
three, the five per centum provided by law for failure to pay prior to
the first day of December, eighteen hundred and ninety-three, until
the first day of March, eighteen hundred and ninety-four.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
