CHAP. 87.—An ACT to extend time to W. G. Scott’s administra-
tor to collect certain tax tickets in his hands.

Whereas W. G. Scott, late deputy treasurer of Smyth
county, has departed this life, leaving uncollected various
tickets for taxes and levies which passed into his hands
as deputy treasurer, due for county and state purposes,
and that said tickete remain uncollected, but for which
he settled with the state and county authorities; there-
fore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That authority is hereby given to and vested in the ad-
ministrator and personal representative of W. G. Scott,
deceased, to collect the amount due upon said tickets for
taxes and levies, which have not been returned delinquent
or insolvent, for the years eighteen hundred and eighty-
seven, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-nine, eighteen hundred and ninety, and
eighteen hundred and ninety-one; and the said adminis-
trator and personal representive of W. G. Scott, deceased,
shall have the power of levy and distress for the same
that treasurers now have under the preesnt laws, and that
this power be extended for the period of one year from
the passage of this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
