CHAP. 657.—An ACT for the protection of game in the county of
anover.
Approved March 8, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That it shall not be lawful for any person to kill or cap-
ture deer in the county of Hanover between the first day
of January and the fifteenth day of August in each year.
2. It shall not be lawful to kill or capture partridges in
the said county between the fifteenth day of January and
the fifteenth day of October of each year.
3. It shall not be lawful to kill or capture wild turkeys
in said county between the fifteenth day of March and the
first day of November of each year.
4, It shall not be lawful at any time to take or destroy
the eggs of partridges or quails, pheasants, or ruffled
grouse, or wild turkeys, or catch them with nets or traps.
5. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof be-
fore any court or justice of the peace, shall be fined twenty
dollars and imprisoned in jail until said fine is paid, but
not exceeding thirty days.
6. In so far as existing acts or parts of acts are in con-
flict with the provisions of this act, they are hereby re-
pealed.
7. This act shall be in force from its passage.
