CHAP. 447.—An ACT to change the corporate name of the town
of Jeffersonville to Tazewell.
Approved February 29, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That section one of an act entitled an act to incorporate
the town of Jeffersonville, in the county of Tazewell, passed
February twenty-first, eighteen hundred and sixty-six, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
: 1. The town of Jeffersonville, in the county of Taze-
well, as the same has heretofore been laid off into lots,
streets, and alleys, shall be, and the same is hereby, made
a town corporate by the name of Tazewell, and by that
name shall have and exercise the powers conferred upon
the said town by its charter and the laws of this common-
wealth not inconsistent therewith.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
