CHAP. 367.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 847 of code
1887, in relation to board of supervisors publishing an itemized
statement of county expenses.
Approved February 25, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That section eight hundred and forty-seven of the code of
eighteen hundred and eighty-seven be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 847. The board of supervisors shall cause to be made
out annually, immediately after their meeting at which
the county levy is made, a statement showing the aggre-
gate amount of the receipts and expenditures of the year
next preceding; also a statement showing the aggregate
amount allowed for the next succeeding year to the offi-
cers of the county and for incidental and necessary ex-
penses of the county, in form as follows:
To sheriff of the county, - - - ¢$ ——_

And an itemized statement of incidental expenses of the
county, not embraced by either of the foregoing items.
A copy of such statement shall be posted at the front
door of the court-house and at each voting place in the
county, or published in one or more newspapers of the
county or adjoining county or city, as the board may
irect.
And each member of the board of supervisors who fail
to comply with the provisions of this act shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof, shall be
fined not less than ten dollars nor more than one hundred
dollars.
2. This act shall be in force after July first, eighteen
hundred and ninety-two.
