CHAP. 359.—An ACT to give H. C. Shearer, late treasurer of Ap-
pomattox county, and his deputies, power to levy and distress
collect certain tax-ticketa now in his hands.

Approved February 25, 1892.

Whereas H. C. Shearer, late treasurer of Appomattox
county, has in his hands various tax-tickets for which he
has accounted to the state and county; therefore,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That thesaid H. C. Shearer and his deputies shall have the
same power of levy and distress as is now possessed by treas-
urers under the revenue laws, until December thirty-first,
eighteen hundred and ninety-two, to collect the uncollected
tax-tickets now in his hands for the years eighteen hundred
and eighty-seven, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, eigh-
teen hundred and evighty-nine.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
