CHaP. 346.—An ACT to provide for the pa yment of the salaries
of the clerk, sheriff, and commonwealth’s attorney of Gooch-
land county.

Approved February 25, 1892.

Whereas it is conceded that in the enumeration of the
inhabitants of the county of Goochland, at the last census,
the names of a large number of persons were omitted by
the enumerators; and whereas it is believed that a correct
enumeration of the inhabitants of the said county would
show a population exceeding ten thousand; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the board of supervisors of the said county be, and
they are hereby, authorized to make to the clerk, sheriff,
and commonwealth’s attorney of the said county of Gooch-
land an annual allowance of four hundred dollars each.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
