the 8d of March, 1890, to incorporate the Wytheville develop:
ment company.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia
That the seventh section of a bill approved the third o!
March, eighteen hundred and ninety, to incorporate the
Wytheville development company, be so amended as tc
read as follows: |
§ 7. The directors of said company shall be stockhold
ers. Their number shall not be less than five, and they
shall be elected by the stockholders in their annual meet
ing, when a president of the company shal! also be electec
by the stockholders from the directors, and who shall by
virtue of his office be president of the board of directors
They shall serve until their successors are elected, anc
they may fill any vacancy in the board. For the purpose
of organizing said company, the seven persons named ir
this act shall constitute its board of directors, any fou:
of whom may act. They may receive subscriptions to th
capital stock at any time and place without advertising
and when the sum of seven hundred dollars or more i
subscribed they shall convene the stockholders and organ
ize said company, and certify such organization on th
books of the company, and such certificate, or a cop’
thereof, when attested by a notary public, shall be received
as evidence of the legal organization of such company.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
