CHAP. 230.—An ACT to authorize any railroad company or com-
panies owning any line or lines of railway which the Chesa-
peake and Ohio railway company may have the lawful right to
acquire, to lease, convey, or otherwise transfer the same to said
Chesapeake and Ohio railway company.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That it shall be lawful at any time for any railroad com-
pany or companies owning any line or lines of railway
which the Chesapeake and Ohio railway company then
has the lawful right to acquire, by lease, purchase, or
otherwise, to lease, convey, or otherwise transfer such line
or lines of railway (including the franchises thereof and
all appurtenances thereto, and also the stock and bonds
thereof) to said Chesapeake and Ohio railway company,
on such terms as may be agreed upon with the approval of
a majority of the stockholders of the respective compa-
nies; and such lease, conveyance, or transfer shall operate
to vest in the Chesapeake and Ohio railway company, in
the manner expressed in such lease, conveyance, or other
transfer, the line or lines of railway (including the fran-
chises thereof and all appurtenances thereto, and also so
much of the stock and bonds thereof as may be assigned )
so leased, conveyed, or otherwise transferred.
2. This act shall take effect from its passage.
