CHAP. 100.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2 of an act
entitled an act to incorporate the Commonwealth club, approved
March 3, 1890.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That section second of an act entitled an “act to incorpo-
rate the Commonwealth club,” approved March third, eigh-
teen hundred and ninety, be amended and re-enacted so
as to read ag follows:
§ 2. The said corporation shall have power to make and
adopt a constitution and by-laws, rules and regulations
for the admission and expulsion of its members and their
government; the election of its officers, and to define their
duties; for holding general and special meetings of its
members for the transaction of business, at any and all-of
which said meetings its members shall have the right to
vote in person or by proxy; and for the safe-keeping and
protection of its property and funds, and from time to time
to alter or repeal such constitution, by-laws, rules, and
regulations: provided that the same be not inconsistent
with the constitution and laws of the United States or the
state of Virginia.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
