Chap. 83.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the first section of an act
approved January twenty-sixth, eighteen hundred and seventy-six,
entitled an act to provide for the Registration of the Voters of the
City of Danville.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the first
section of the act approved the twenty-sixth of January,
eighteen hundred and seventy-six, entitled an act to provide
for the registration of the voters of the city of Danville, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
‘That the duly qualified registrar for the city of Danville
shall, on the second Monday in March, eighteen hundred and
seventy-six, proceed to register, according to the general
registration laws of the state, the names of all the qualified
voters within the said city, for which he was appointed, who,
according to law, are entitled to register therein; and he
shall complete such registration within five days thereafter.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
