Chap. 62.—An ACT to amend chapter thirteen, section twenty-three of
the Code of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, allowing Commission
to General Agent and Storekeeper of the Penitentiary.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That chapter
thirteen, section twenty-three of the Code of eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-three, be amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
§ 24. The general agent and storekeeper shall be allowed
a commission of six per eentum on all sales amounting to
seventy-five thousand dollars and under, and on all sales above
that amount he shall have a commission of eight per centum,
other than sales at auction made by him. He shall receive
on sales at auction, ordered by tue board of directors, a com-
mission of only two and one-half per centum, and on alk
manufactures for clothing the convicts, and jobs and labor
for tbe use of the commonwealth, he shall be allowed no
commission. |
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
