Chap. 6.—An ACT to amend section two of Chapter one hundred and
+ ‘seventy-one of the Code of Virginia, edition of eighteen hundred and
seventy-three, as amended by an act approved March twenty-ninth,
eighteen hundred and seventy-five, in reference to Number of Com-
missioners in Chancery.
Approved January 3, 1876.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the second
section of chapter one hundred and seventy-one of the Code,
edition of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, as amended
by an act approved March twenty-nine, eighteen hundred
and seventy-five, be amended gnd re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
§ 2. Each court shall, from time to time, appoint commis-
sioners in chancery or for stating accounts, who shall be re-
movable at pleasure. There shall not be more than four
such commissioners in office at the same time for the same
court, except that the chancery court of the city of Rich-
mond may have seven such commissioners in office at the
same time; and that corporation courts with chancery juris-
diction, and that the circuit courts of the counties of Au-
gusta, Pittsylvania, and Loudoun, may have five such com-
missioners in office at the same time.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
