Chap. 38.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section seventeen, chapter
ninety-nine of the Code eighteen hundred and seventy-three, as
amended by an act approved April twenty-eighth, eighteen hundred
and seventy-four, entitled an act to amend and re-enact the seven-
teenth section of chapter ninety-nine of the Code of eighteen hundred
and seventy-three, for the Protection of Game.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the seventeenth section of chapter ninety-nine of the Code
of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, as amended by an
act approved April twenty-eighth, eighteen hundred and
seventy.four, entitled an act to amend and re-enact the
seventeenth section of chapter ninety-nine of the Code of
eighteen hundred and seventy-three, for the protection of
game, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§17. It shall not be lawful for any person to hunt or shoot,
or otherwise cause the destruction of partridges, in the coun-
ties of Accomac and Northampton, from the first day of
February to the twentieth day of October of each year; nor
shall it be lawful for any person to hunt or shoot, or other-
wise cause the destruction of partridges, pheasants or wild
turkeys, in any of the following counties, viz: Rockingham,
Richmond, Alexandria, Frederick, Clarke, Fauquier, Fairfax,
Rappahannock, Prince George, Westmoreland, Loudoun,
Goochland, York, James City, Orange, Louisa, Lancaster,
Madison, and Wythe, or any other county that may so elect,
by order of the board of supervisors, from the first day of
January to the fifteenth day of October of each year; or of
any woodcock, from the first day of January to the first day
of July of each year.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
