Chap. 32.—An ACT to authorize Joseph J. English, of Accomac
county, to erect a Wharf on Chincoteague Channel in said county.
Approved February 4, 1876.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Joseph J. English, of the county of Accomac, be and he is
hereby authorized and permitted to erect a wharf upon his
land on Chincoteague island in said county, with a water
front of one hundred and twelve feet, extending thirty feet
from low water mark into Chincoteague channel; and that
the said Joseph J. English, his heirs and assigns, shall have
the right to charge and recover such fees as a compensation
for the use of said wharf, as may have been agreed upon by
and between the parties, or as are usual: provided, that this
shall at all times be under the control of the general assem-
bly,,and may be amended or repealed as they may deem
proper.
2. This act shall be in force from. its passage.
