Chap. 236.—An ACT to authorize the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Isle of Wight, in their discretion, to Contract for and Di-
rect a Bridge to be built across Jones’ Creek, leading from Smithfield
to Smith’s Neck, in said county.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the board
of supervisors, at their discretion, be and they are hereby
authorized to contract with the lowest responsible bidder,
for the erection of a bridge across Jones’ creek, with a draw-
bridge leading from Smithfield to Smith’s neck, of suitable
width and dimensions for travel along such road, and 80 as
not to obstruct navigation of said creek.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
