Chap. 91.—An ACT to authorize W. 1. Cook to erect a wharf upon
his land on York river.
Approved February 8, 1879.
1. Be if enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be
lawful for W. L. Cook to erect a wharf on his land in the
county of York, with a water front of one hundred and twenty-
five feet, extending out to the edge of the channel of York
river; said W. L. Cook, his heirs or assigns, shall have the
right to charge and recover such fees as a compensation for
the use uf said wharf as may be agreed upon by and between
the parties, or a8 are usual: provided that said wharf shall
not ob_truct or impair the free navigation of York river chan-
nel; and provided, also, that this act shall be subject to
amendment, modification, or repeal, at the pleasure of the
general assembly.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
