Chap. 9.—An ACT to authorize the colored Baptist church, of Lib-
erty, Virginia, to borrow money and secure the payment of same by
deed of trust on the chureh property.

Approved December 19, 1878.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the trustees
of the colored Baptist church of Liberty, Bedford county, Vir-
ginia, be and they are hereby authorized to borrow a sum of
money not exceeding fifteen hundred dollars, and at a rate of
interest not exceeding seven per centum per annum, to com-
plete the building for public worship now in process of erection
in said town of Liberty; and to secure the payment of the
money borrowed, the satd trustees are hereby further author-
ized to execute a deed of trust on the said building.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
