Chap. 81.—An ACT for the relief of C. W. Sullivan, treasurer of
Montgomery county, and John H. Goodloe, treasurer of Nelson
county.
Approved February 8, 1879.
Whereas C. W, Sullivan, treasurer of Montgomery county,
and John I]. Goodloe, treasurer of Nelson county, have in their
hands various tickets for taxes and levies, both state and
county, for the years eighteen hundred and seventy-three,
eighteen hundred and seventy-four, eighteen hundred and
seventy-five, eighteen hundred and seventy-six, and cighteen
hundred and seventy-seven, and also tickets for licenses due
the state for the same years; and whereas the said Sullivan
and Goodloe have fully accounted to both state and county for
sald tickets, but have failed to collect the same from the per-
sons from whom they are due; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
authority is hereby given to said C. W. Sullivan and John H.
(,oodloe, treasurers as aforesaid, to collect the amount due
upon said tickets for taxes, levies, and licenses; and they shall
have the same power of levy and distress for the same that
they now possess under the present revenue laws after the first
of March of each year.
2. This act shall be in fcree from its passage.
