Chap. 68,—An ACT granting a loan of arms of the state to the prin-
cipal of the Suffolk military academy.
Approved January 25, 1879.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the governor be and he is hereby authorized, if not imcompati-
ble with the public welfare, to loan to the principal of the Suf-
folk military academy, upon his giving good and _ sufficient
bond for their proper care and safe return when called for, a
number of the arms of the state (not to exceed fifty in number)
sufficient to enable the students of the academy, now properly
organized, to exercise and drill as volunteer militia.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
Chap. 68.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act approved March 2,
1876, prescribing the times for holding the terms of the tenth jadi-
cial circuit,
Approved February 1, 1879.
1. Be if enacted by the general assembly, That the act ap-
proved March the second, eightcen hundred and seventy-six,
entitled an act to amend and re-enact section ten of an act ap-
proved March twenty-seventh, eighteen hundred and seventy-
four, as amended by an act approved February the eighteenth,
eighteen hundred and seventy-five, to preseribe the time for
holding the terms of the tenth judicial circuit. be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 10. Caroline—March tenth, September tenth.
Louisa—March twentieth, September twentieth.
King George—-March thirtieth, September thirtieth.
Stafford—Apri sixth, October sixth.
Westmoreland—April thirteenth, October thirteenth.
Richmond—April eighteenth, October eighteenth.
Hanover—April twenty-sixth, October twenty-sixth.
Spotsylvania—May sixth, November sixth.
Fredericksburg—May tenth, November tenth.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
