Chap. 250,—An ACT permitting J. W. Bagwell, of the county of
Aceodmac, to build a bridge acio~s a branch of Onanrockh creek.
Approved March 3, 1879
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That J. W. Bag:
well be permitted to build a bridge across the south-east branch
of Onancock creek, from a point near Powell's wharf to his own
land: provided said bridge shall be sufficiently high at full tide
to allow lighters and other small boats to pass under if.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
Chap. 250.—An ACT to amend the charter of the Dan Valley and
Yadkin river railroad company.
Approved March 8, 1879.
Be it further enacted, That by and with the consent of
the state of North Carolina, the Dan Valley and Yadkin river
narrow-gauge railroad company shall have the right to extend
its road, with all the rights, privileges and franchises given and
oranted under and by this charter, into the state of North Car-
Olina, through the counties of Rockingham, Forsythe, Stokes.
Yadkin and Wilkes, or either of them, and such other counties
as may be necessary to reach the most desirable connection
with any other railroad, and the crossing of the mountains to
the Tennessee line.
