Chap. 249.—JOINY RESOLUTION providing for the payment of
the balance of salary that would have been due Dr. &, C. Robinson
had he lived untti the close of the session.
Approved March 3, 1879.
Whereas the sum of one hundred and ninety dollars is the
balance that would have been due to the late Doctor E. C. Rob.
inson, delegate from the city of Norfolk, had he lived; there-
fore,
1. Be it resolved by the house of delegates (the senate con-
curring), That the auditor of public accounts is hereby author-
ized and directed to draw his warrant on the treasury, to be
paid out of any moneys not otherwise appropriated, in favor of
the sergeant-at-arms of the house for the sam of one hundred
and fifteen dollars, for the purpose of defraying the funeral
expenses of Doctor E. C. Robinson, and the sum of seventy
five dollars to be paid to his two daughters,
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
Chap. 249,~-An AC'T to protect oysters in the bay of Matchapungo
and its tributaries.
Approved March 3, 1879.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That any one
catching oysters in the bay of Matchapungo and its tributaries
shall nub or break off the young and small oysters from those
fit for use, and throw them in the water at the spot or place
where caught or tuken.
2. Any one violating the provisions of this act shall, upon
conviction, pay a fine of not less than twenty or more than
iifty dollars for each offence.
d. This act shall be in force from its passage.
