CHAP. 204.—An ACT to authorize the Odd-Fellows’ Joint Stock Com-
pany of Alexandria, Virgmia, to borrow money and exceute one or
more deeds of trust upou its property.
Approved March 3, 1879.
1. Be it enacted bv the general assembly, ‘That the trustees
of the Odd-Fellows’ joint stock company of Alexandria. Vir-
ginia, or a majority of them, be and they are hereby authorized
to execute one or more deeds of trust upon the property of the
said joint stock company, in the city of Alexandria, Virginia,
situated on the west side of Columbus street, between Wolfe
snd Wilixes streets, and known as Odd-Fcllows’ hall, for the
purpose of securing a sum of money, not to exceed two thou-
sand dollars, to be borrowed for the purpose of discharging a
debt incurred in the erection of the hall of the said company
on Columbus street, in the said city of Alexandria, and of
completing the said hall; which deed or deeds of trust shall
be as yalid and effectual as if executed by an individual, and
except as may therein be otherwise provided, shall be subject
to the piovisions of chapter one hundred and thiricen of the
Code of Virginia of eighteen hundred and seventy-three.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
