CHAP. 16.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section nineteen of an act
entitled an act to provide for working the roads in the counties of
Shenandoah and Page, approved February 6th, 1878.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section nineteen of an act entitled an act to. provide for work-
ing the roads in the counties of Shenandoah and Page, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 19. That all male persons in each road district, except
school trustees and such others as are exempted by law. shall
be appointed by the overseer of roads for that district, and
compelled to work two days in each year on some public road
therein, as near as may be to the place of their residence or in
opening a new road.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
Chap. 16.—An ACT for the relief of William IL, Bloxon, treasurer
of the comaty of Accomae,

Whereas William If. Bloxom, treasurer of the county of
Accomac, by reason of the failure of the assessor of Lee town-
ship, In said county, to return his books for the year eighteen
hundred and seventy-five until July, eighteen hundred and
seventy-six, was rendered unable to get the benefit of a credit
of sixty-one dollars and thirty-six cents, to which he was justly
entitled for delinquent taxes:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized
in his next settlement with the said treasurer to give his ac-
count credit with the sum of sixty-one dollars and thirty-six
eents: provided, that the county court of Accomac shall cer-
tify the correctness of the delinquent list claimed by said trea-
surer as entitling him to the said sum of sixty-one dollars and
thirty-six cents, and that the said treasurer sball return the
same as other delinquents are required to be returned.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
