CHAP. 128.—An ACT declaring the James river to condemnation line
of the James river and Kauawha canal, and the dividing lines of the
farms Within certain hnuts, and in the county of Amherst, a lawfal
fence,
Approved February 27, 1879.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That so much of
the James river as extends from Allen’s creek, in the county
of Amberst, to Joshua Falis dam, in said county, and the con-
demnation lines of the James river and Kanawha canal within
said limits, and the dividing lines of the farms which lie along
said river and canal within the aforesaid limits, said dividing
lines running across the low grounds from said canal to said
river, be and the same are hereby declared and established a
lawful fence as to any of the stock named in the eighth section
of chapter ninety-seven of the Code of Virginia of eighteen
hundred and seventy-three.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
