Chap. 107.—An ACT to authorize the supervisors of the county of
Augusta to purchase the property of the Baldwin-Augusta Fair, and
so forth,
Approved February 15, 1879.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the supervisors of the county of Augusta are hereby authorized
and empowered to buy, either at public or private sale. the fair
grounds and other property of the Baldwin-Augusta fair, if in
their opinion it shall be judicious so to do, and to take a convey-
ance of said property to the said county of Augusta, to be held
as the property of said county, and be under the control of
said board of supervisors.
2. For the purpose of paying for said fair grounds and
other property, should the same be bought as aforesaid, the said
supervisors of said county of Augusta may lay and collect
such levies as may be necessary, in the same manner as levies
for other county purposes are now laid and collected.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
