Chap. 87.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors to add
to the county judge’s salary of Orange county.
Approved January 24, 1890.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the board of supervisors of the county of Orange be,
and are hereby, authorized, in their discretion, to add to
the salary received by the county judge of said county a
sum not exceeding one hundred and sixty dollars per
annum. :
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
CHAP. 88 —An ACT to authorize the sheriff of Albemarle
county to execute process and toserve notices in the city of
Charlottesville.
Approved January 24, 1890.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the sheriff of Albemarle county shall have authority
within the corporate limits of the city of Charlottesville
to execute all process, original, mesne or final. issued by
the clerk of the circuit court or the clerk of the county
court of said county, and to serve all notices of motions,
proceedings, or other matters to be made or instituted in
either of said courts. And said sheriff shall also have
authority within the limits of said city to execute upon
any resident of said county all process directed to him
from any other court or from any justice or other person
authorized to issue process.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
