CHAP. 404.—An ACT to authorize the sale of Rehoboth church
property, in the county of Franklin.
Approved March 3, 1890.
Whereas Rehoboth church property, in the county of
Franklin, has been used by the Methodist church for over
one hundred years uninterruptedly and without dispute of
title, though no deed therefor could be found; and whereas
the congregation of said church now desires said property
to be sold and conveyed in fee; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That William P. Jeter, Jubal E. Booth, and R. C. Shaon,
on the part of the said congregation of the said Metho-
dist Episcopal church, south, are hereby authorized and
empowered to sell said church and the church lot adjacent
to the same, amounting to about two acres, and to make a
proper deed conveying the same in fee to the purchaser,
and they shall pay over the proceeds of such sale to the
proper authorities, to be by them disposed of.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
