CHAP. 226.—An ACT for the protection of fish in the counties of
Lee, Wise, Dickenson,{Buchanan, and Scott.
Approved February 17, 1890.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That it shall be unlawful for any person to kill or injure
any fish by the use of dynamite or any other explosive
thrown or placed in any of the waters of Lee, Wise, Dick-
enson, Buchanan, and Scott counties.
2. It shall also be unlawful for any person to purchase,
eat, or have in his possession any fish so injured or killed
in any of said waters.
3. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions
of section one of this act shall, upon conviction, be fined
not less than one hundred dollars nor more than one thou-
sand dollars; and any one who shall knowingly violate
any of the provisions of section twoof this act shall, upon
conviction, be fined not less than ten dollars nor more
than one hundred dollars.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
