CHAP. 121.—An ACT authorizing the sale of certain church
property in the county of King George.
Approved January 31, 1890.
Whereas the Methodist congregation which formerly
worshiped at the old Poplar meeting-house in King
George county, and the Baptist congregation of the Round
Hill Baptist church of saidcounty, owned in common a
tract of land in King George county, where formerly stood
the old Poplar meeting-house; and whereas the said con-
gregations desire to sell said land and convey the same
in fee; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That W.S. Brown and E. D. Brown, on the part of the
said Methodist congregation, and J. A. Pullen, on the part
of the said Baptist congregation, are hereby authorized and
empowered to sell said land, and to make a proper deed
conveying the same in fee to the purchaser, and shall pay
over the proceeds of such sale to the proper authorities,
according to their respective interests.
2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent herewith are
hereby repealed.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
