1. Be it enacted by the- general assembly of Virginia,
That the auditor of public accounts be directed to draw
his warrant for two hundred and six dollars in favor of
John H. Wise, sheriff of the county of Accomac. This
amount to be payable out of any funds in the public treas-
ury not otherwise appropriated; this sum being the bal-
ance due said sheriff for the board and care of lunatics
confined in his jail.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
CHAP. 228 —An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1281 of the
code of Virginia, in regard to the publication of certain reports
by insurance companies and associations.
Approved March 5, 1890.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
_That section twelve hundred and eighty-one of the code
of Virginia be amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
§1281. The report shall be verified by the oaths of the
president and secretary, or two other officers of the com-
pany, association, or society, and be published by the
auditor at the expense of the company, association, or
society, once a week for six successive weeks, before the
first day of April following, in some newspaper in the
city of Richmond; and three hundred copies of said
reports shall also be published by him in pamphlet form
for the use of the company and its agents.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
