CHAP. 160.—An ACT to amend and re-enact fifth subdivision of
section 2079 of the code of Virginia, in relation to unlawful
hunting of marsh hen, willet, or gull and their eggs.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the fifth subdivision of section two thousand and
seventy-nine of the code of Virginia be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§2079. Subdivision five; of marsh hen, willet, or gull;
their eggs.—To shoot or in any manner kill or destroy the
bird known as the marsh hen, or take its eggs later in the
season than the twentieth of June; or shoot, or in any
manner kill or destroy the bird known as the willet earlier
in the season than the fifteenth of July, or take its eggs
later in the season than the twentieth of July; or
shoot, or in any manner kill or destroy the bird known as
the gull or striker, before the first day of September, or
take its eggs later in the season than the twentieth of
July.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
