CHAP. 121.—An ACT to authorize the owners of Elizabeth Park,
in Princess Anne county, to control its water front and riparian
ownership.
Approved February 28, 1890.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the owners of what is known as “Elizabeth Park,” at the
junction of Broad creek and the eastern branch of the
Elizabeth river, between the lands of Thurmer Hoggard and
W.H. Sargeant, in the county of Princess Anne, be, and
they are hereby, authorized to exercise full control and
use of the water frontage and all riparian rights pertain-
ing thereto, out to the channels of said creek and branch
of the river: provided, that for the privilege thus granted
they shall pay into the treasury of the state a yearly tax
of twenty-five cents per acre for every acre used or claimed
to be controlled under the terms of this act, together with
all inspectors’ or other fees required by the general laws
of the state applying to such property.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
