An Act to amend and reenact § 14 of Chapter 165, Acts of Assembly of
1912, approved March 12, 1912, which chapter amended and reenacted
Chapter 440, Acts of Assembly of 1889-1890, approved March 8, 1890.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 14 of Chapter 165, Acts of Assembly of 1912, approved March
12, 1912, which chapter amended and reenacted Chapter 440, Acts of
Assembly of 1889-1890, approved March 3, 1890, be amended and reen-
acted as follows: |
§ 14—EMINENT DOMAIN
The Council of the town of Bedford may exercise the power of emi-
nent domain within this State for the purpose of exercising any of its
powers and duties and performing any of its functions including the
acquisition within and without the Municipal Corporation, of lands, build-
ings and other structures and personal property, including any interests,
right, easement or estate therein; and such power shall include the powers
and privileges and be subject to the limitations set forth in § 15.1-897 to
§ 15.1-900, inclusive, of Chapter 18, Title 15.1 of the Code of Virginia as
in force on January 1, 1966, and such powers and limitations are hereby
conferred on and vested in the town of Bedford, Virginia.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
