CHAPTER 556

An Act to amend and reenact § 22-29 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to ex officio membership of Superintendent of Public Instruction on
certain governing boards.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

. 1 That § 22-29 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:

§ 22-29. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Code, the
membership, ex officio, of the Superintendent of Public Instruction * on
the governing bodies of * the educational institutions receiving appro-
priations from the State * shall cease on the date when this section, aa
amended, takes effect. Provided, however, that this section shall not be
construed to affect the membership of the Superintendent of Public In-
