An Act to amend and reenact §§ 68-879, 68-380, as amended, 68-881 and
63-883 of the Code of Virginia to transfer the administration of, prop-
erty of and funds appropriated for the mobile psychiatric clinic to the
Department of Welfare and Institutions; and to repeal § 68-882, a8
amended, relating to such clinics. | g 2111

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That §§ 63-379, 63-380, as amended, 63-381 and 63-388 of the Code
of Virginia be amended and reenacted as follows:
§§ 63-379. * The Department of Welfare and Institutions, herein-
after referred to as * the Department, is directed to * maintain a mobile
psychiatric clinic to provide the services and perform the functions herein-
after set forth for children who have been committed to the Department *
and are being held at any institution or other facility maintained or use
by such Department in the * Commonwealth for the care and treatment of
such children.
All right, title and interest in and to any property designated for use
by the mobile psychiatric clinic and vested in the State Hospital Board or
Department of Mental Hygiene and Hospitals at the time this act becomes
effective and all funds appropriated for use by such clinic to the State Hos-
mtal Board or Department of Mental Hygiene and Hospitals, either before
or after the effective date of this act, shall be transferred to and stand in
the name of and under the control of the Department.
§ 63-380. The * Department shall direct the purchase of such sup-
plies, equipment, and motor vehicles as are necessary to carry out the
provisions of this chapter.
§ 63-381. The * Department shall employ as director, a psychiatrist
ind other persons skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of physical and
nental diseases of children, and such other medical, technical and clinical
ersonnel as may be desirable for this mobile clinic. The * Department may
emove or discharge for cause any persons so employed and may reassign
ersons 80 assigned.
§ 63-383. The * Department * shall schedule visits by such clinic at
egular intervals to the institutions maintained by the Department as men-
oned in § 63-379.
That § 63-382, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be repealed.
