CHAPTER 275

AN Act to authorize the Governor to execute, in the name of the Common-
wealth, a deed conveying unto Southern Block and Pipe Corporation
certain submerged lands in the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth
River at Chesapeake, Virginia.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

§ 1. The Governor is hereby authorized to execute and deliver, in
name of the Commonwealth, a proper deed of conveyance, in form ap-
ved by the Attorney General, under the lesser seal of the Common-
Ith, conveying unto Southern Block and Pipe Corporation, a Virginia
oration chartered on February twenty-one, nineteen hundred forty-six,
right, title and interest of the Commonwealth in and to the following-
ribed property, or any part thereof:

All that certain parcel of land situated in the city of Chesa-
peake, Virginia, being the subaqueous bed from the low water line
to the bulkhead line, containing 2.85 acres, and designated “Subaqueous
Bed ‘B’” on a certain plat entitled “SURVEY OF PROPERTY FOR
SOUTHERN BLOCK AND PIPE CORPORATION CHESAPEAKE,
VIRGINIA”, made by Frank D. Tarrall, Jr., & Associates, Surveyors
and Engineers, Virginia Beach, Virginia, dated October, 1965, and
more particularly bounded and described with reference to said plat,
as follows:

Beginning at a point in the eastern line of property now or
formerly Tenneco Oil Company at the intersection of the low water
line, said point of beginning being N. 22° 41’ 50” W., a distance of
941.74 feet from a point in the eastern line of said property now or
formerly Tenneco Oil Company at the intersection of the north line
of property now or formerly Norfolk and Western Railway Company;
thence running from said point of beginning N. 22° 41’ 50” W., a dis-
tance of 93 feet to a point in the bulkhead line in the Southern Branch
of the Elizabeth River; thence turning and running N. 67° 01’ 50” E.,
a distance of 644.38 feet along said bulkhead line to its intersection
with said low water line; thence turning and running along said low
water line the following courses and distances: S. 03° 11’ E., 62.24
feet; S. 18° 26’ W., 114 feet; S. 25° 59’ W., 88 feet; S. 55° 12’ W., 86
feet; S. 52° 84’ W., 80 feet; S. 65° 39’ W., 75 feet; S. 62° 12’ W., 83 feet;
N. 78° 15’ W., 64 feet; N. 67° 10’ W., 62 feet; N. 72° 30’ W., 68 feet;
N. 53° 38’ W., 37 feet to the point of beginning.
