CHAPTER 107
An Act to amend and reenact § 68-140.2 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to eligibility for medical assistance for the aged.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 63-140.2 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:
§ 63-140.2. An aged person shall be eligible for medical assistance
for the aged if he:
(a) Has attained the age of sixty-five years;
(b) Is a resident of the State of Virginia;
(c) Is not receiving * old age assistance, provided that he may re-
ceive medical assistance for the aged for services provided to him during
the same month he receives old age assistance if he is admitted to or
discharged from a medical institution during that month; oo
(d) Is in need of medical care or treatment within limitations set
by rules and regulations of the State Board as herein provided; and
(e) Is in need of financial assistance in defraying the cost of such
medical care.
